Earlier, rumours were rife that the production house, which had acquired the south Indian remake rights of The Dirty Picture, zeroed in on Anushka Shetty, and Nikita of Saroja fame to star in Tamil and Telugu versions, respectively.
Anushka Shetty has denied reports which claimed that she would be playing the lead role of ‘The Dirty Picture’, a Vidya Balan starrer. This film by Milan Luthria fetched the actress a National Awardas well.
But her spokesperson has rubbished the rumors saying, “Anushka is presently busy with Thaandavam, Irandam Ulagam and Alex Pandian in Kollywood and she has no such plans of playing the lead in the remake venture of Dirty Picture.”
The ‘Singam’ actress is expected to leave for some abroad locations soon, to shoot ‘Thaandavam’ and ‘Irandam Ulagam’. While ‘Thaandavam’ is to be shot in the United States, ‘Irandam Ulagam’ is expected to be canned in Brazil.
She also expects Irandam Ulagam and Thaandavam might fetch her career more.
