Chiranjeevis 150th film

The 150th film of actor-turned-politician, Chiranjeevi, has always been in the news. There were several names, themes and directors that had filled the rumour mills. All the best names had surfaced only to be negated with the passage of time. Nothing concrete has materialised on the mega star’s landmark film. The latest buzz is that Murugadoss will direct the film. The talk gained currency after the success of Seventh Sense. This was followed by the appreciation of Tamil directors by Ram Charan Tej, which stirred the hornets’ nest in Tollywood and senior artiste Balakrishna taking objection to his young hero’s words. When everyone thought a storm is brewing and the two big families would lock horns, Chiranjeevi managed to cool tempers. Later, Balakrishna too raised the white flag and said he did not intend to hurt Ram Charan or any of his family members. Setting aside the controversy, the 150th film of Chiranjeevi has been widely discussed and the names of big directors starting from V.V. Vinayak have come up. Chiranjeevi has been busy with politics for the past two-and-a-half years, but is keen to complete his 150th film. Even N.T. Rama Rao and M.G. Ramachandran acted in films after entering politics, and both were chief ministers. NTR worked in a couple of films while he was chief minister and also faced the camera while he was out of office. Who Chiranjeevi will please and how soon, only time will tell. Chiranjeevi’s son Ram Charan, brothers Pawan Kalyan and Nagababu and nephew Allu Aravind are all active in the industry.
