Emraan Hashmi who lately attended the music launch event of his forthcoming film ‘Jannat 2’ admitted that he is not worried of releasing his film during the ongoing season of IPL (Indian Premier League). The 33-year-actor stated ‘Our film ‘Jannat’ released in year 2008 when IPL first season was kicked off. The movie was a huge success and the matches did not lead any harm to our film. We are not worried now about releasing the sequel in the IPL season as we do not fear IPL season, in fact IPL should fear us’.
Even filmmaker Mukesh Bhatt who was present at the event strongly supported Emraan and expressed similar feelings. ‘Jannat 2’ is a sequel of 2008 blockbuster hit titled of same name and is going to hit the theatres on May 4. While ‘Jannat’ was based on betting and match fixing in cricket, the sequel is about the illegal trading in arms and ammunitions.
