March 16: The Praja Rajyam leader, Mr Chiranjeevi’s daughter, Ms Srija, told police she was not allowed to attend the marriage of her cousin, the film star Allu Arjun by her husband, Mr Sirish Bhardwaj.
CCS police said though she insisted on going, Srija was not allowed to attend the marriage by Mr Bhardwaj and his mother, Ms Surya Mangala. This lead to heated arguments between the couple during which Mr Bhardwaj allegedly pushed her. An official said, “She said Mr Bhardwaj was always following her. This is a type of psychological harassment.” Mr Bhardwaj and his mother is yet to be questioned.
