Sallu Bhai-Katrina vs SRK-Katrina at Cannes Film Festival
This is sure to create a considerable amount of flutter at the most prestigious film festival in the world. Yash Chopra, who has produced both ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ and his still untitled SRK-Kat film, is set to present both these movies, with his others, at the Cannes festival alongside the French Riviera. Now, it is an interesting story for us Indians since we are extremely excited about both the movies that boast of two of the biggest superstars of our country.
Reports tell us that three of Yashraj Films’ will be showcased in the market section of Cannes, called as the ‘Marche du Film’. Here, Chopra’s films will be striving to woo the biggies, the international producers, to distribute the films on the foreign shores if at all they find them worth. What we will really be curious about is whose movie will ultimately bag in a distributor, Shah Rukh or Salman’s. Even though both the superstars would, in all probabilities, be absent from the glamorous event, but still their movies would make up for their absence in a huge way.
Now, we desperately await the fates of the two movies (read Salman, Shah Rukh) in France. The other movies in contention from the Yashraj camp would be ‘Ishaqzaade’ and their first Hollywood venture, ‘The Longest Week’.
