The most successful hit formula in Tollywood is the combination of a Star Hero and Mass Entertainer. Mass Entertainer are always a safe bet here, if the hero has image to carry the film on his shoulders.
The success of recent films Racha, Dammu and Gabbar Singh has proved this once again. Although these films have nothing extraordinary in the form of content, the treatment and crowd pulling factor of the heroes worked in their favor.
In fact, Tollywood is the least experimented Industry in the Country. The audience here are more inclined towards entertainment, than appreciating the films with good content. So, realistic films and off beat films in Tollywood had bitten dust most of the times. Obviously, the success rate will be very less when compared to other Industries like Kollywood, Mollywood and Bollywood. Who should be blamed for this situation? The Audience!
