Will Tollywood Encourage Parallel Heroes Concept?
The concept of parallel heroes is rather significant in film industry. Apparently, the parallel hero is a character which is created alongside the track of the hero. The screen time is almost on par with the hero and he provides the maximum entertainment quotient for the film.
While this has been bringing a lot of positive results in Kollywood and Bollywood circuits, the question is, will Tollywood accept such concepts? As such, the image of a hero is rather high in the Telugu circuit and usually the major focus is only on him sidelining the other characters.
Of course, there are always the padding artists but to give meat to another actor who can underplay his role and add value is something of a debate. Firstly, the heroes must accept it and importantly, the director should have the ability to create that divide between the protagonist and parallel hero but not affect the output of the film.
