Cocktail Beats Bol Bachchan Overseas Box Office Collections


Hindi movie Cocktail, which has done wonderful collection at the Indian Box Office, also had a superb opening in the international markets. It has broken the business record of Saif Ali Khan’s previous film Agent Vinod. It has also slowed down the collection of Bol Bachchan at the overseas Box Office in the first weekend.

Cocktail has raked in Rs 2.51 crores (£2,95,822) from 73 screens at the UK Box Office in its opening weekend. Whereas, Bol Bachchan has collected Rs 55.57 lakhs (£64,571) from 39 screens in the country taking its ten days collection to Rs 2.85 crores (£3,34,835). Its business seems to have been affected by Cocktail and Tamil movie Billa 2, which has grossed Rs 61.20 lakhs (£72,120) from 20
screens in the country.

The Saif-Deepika starrer film has collected Rs 3.54 crores ($6,47,956) from 96 screens at the USA Box Office in its first weekend. The Cocktail wave has severely affected the business of Bol Bachchan, which has collected Rs 1.25 crores ($2,28,752) from 98 screens taking its ten day total to Rs 5.49 crores ($10,04,174).

Cocktail also had its toll on the collection of Bol Bachchan at the UAE Box Office in its first weekend. The Homi Adajania film has collected Rs 4.02 crores (AED 27,00,000). Whereas, the latter has added Rs 86.46 lakhs (AED 5,78,347) to its second weekend total collection Rs 4.60 crores (AED 30,87,332).

The romantic comedy film has grossed Rs 1.01 crores (A$1,80,367) from 16 screens at the Australia Box Office in its opening weekend. Whereas, Bol Bachchan has collected 39.57 lakhs (A$69,984) from 22 screens taking its second weekend total to Rs 1.72 crores (A$3,08,856) in the country.

But Cocktail has failed to slow down the business of Bol Bachchan at the New Zealand Box Office. The Saif-Deepika starrer film has collected Rs 16.10 lakhs (NZ$37,072) from 8 screens in its first weekend, while the latter added Rs 23.05 lakhs (NZ$52,484) from 9 screens to its second weekend total Rs 65.26 lakhs (NZ$1,50,220).

However, Bol Bachchan has collected another Rs 1.07 crores ($1,95,026) in 10 days at the GCC BOX-OFFICE (Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait), where Cocktail was not released. But overall, Cocktail had an edge over Bol Bachchan in the foreign Box Office. Cocktail has collected Rs 11.26 crores in this weekend, while Bol Bachchan added Rs 3.29 crores to its ten day total Rs 18.12 crores.
