Why Bachhan, Why Not Akkineni?
Many Bollywood top stars are said to be having pan-India presence, but not quite well down South. It should be noticed that all South states have their own film industries and their own legends. The latest discussion is about two such people.
Apparently, Nagarjuna's latest Kalyan Jewellers ad featuring him and the legendary actor Amitabh Bachhan is getting aired everywhere now. Any Telugu cine-lover feels one thing after watching it. Why Bachhan?, Why not Akkineni?. This jewellery brand is majorly placed in South India and especially in Andhra Pradesh. Roping Akkineni Nageswara Rao might have given an extra mile for the whole campaign. Maybe the jewellery giant have felt that already a star hero is there from Tollywood and hence Amitabh.
Critics say that Akkineni is no big name among TV commercials, while AB is a brand who almost endorses around 20 products as of now. Roping AB is not only a costlier stuff, but will give a classic outlook in the national market.
