Power Star Pawan Kalyan Celebrates 41st Birthday Today:
Power star Pawan Kalyan is going to celebrate his birthday on September 2, 1971. Pawan Kalyan’s birthday is a festival for the fans to celebrate and take part in social ctivities. But the interesting part – Pawan Kalyan remains calm and not used to celebrating birthdays.

The rise of Pawan Kalyan to super stardom at the turn of the millennium is a classic example. He made his onscreen debut in 1996 Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi which was an average fare. Kalyan made his presence felt thanks to his expertise in martial arts. Directed by EVV Satyanarayana, the film also had Supriya, the grand-daughter of ANR in lead role. A year later, he made a strong comeback with Gokulamlo Seetha which was termed as a big hit. The year 1998 changed Pawan Kalyan’s life as an actor completely much to the jubilation of his fans and Telugu film industry welcomed its new youth icon. The first of the two films which had released in 1998 was Suswagatham.
Pawan Kalyan’s role was highly appreciated and the film’s climax still remains famous. Then came, Tholiprema and it went on to achieve the cult status. Directed by a Karunakaran, the film ran for over 200 days and more than that it laid down a template upon which more love stories were made in the next few years. Thammudu and Badri which followed in the next two years brought him closer to the family audience.In 2001, Pawan Kalyan teamed up with S J Suryah and newcomer Bhumika Chawla for the first time. The result ofthis combination was Khushi. Not only was it a blockbuster, it elevated Pawan Kalyan’s status as a style icon andthe title Power Star was given to him by his fans. The hits which he had delivered till then turned directors such as Karunakaran, Puri Jagannadh and S J Suryah into a sensation. However, except Puri Jagannadh, none of them could reprise the success they had tasted with Pawan Kalyan’s films. Is it a Pawan Kalyan Paradox? We will leaveyou to figure it out. Life turned topsy-turvy when Pawan Kalyan chose to direct his next film Jhonny at the peak of his career. The film was released with much fanfare in 2003 but it couldn’t reach the expectations which the audience had from their favourite actor. Not to be bogged down by failures, he continued to do at least one film in a year. Gudumba Shankar, Balu ABCDEFG, Bangaram and Annavaram followed with moderate commercial success. He delivered a blockbuster after a long time in 2008 with Jalsa. So far, he has constantly tried to experiment with his roles as well as the style. After a brief hiatus of two years, he’s back on silver screen as Komaram Puli. Later he worked for Teenmaar and Panja which did not do well. The year he delivered all time great hit in this history of Telugu cinema Industry i.e., Gabbar singh. Now he coming with an another much talked movie’ cameraman Gangato rambabu’ directed Puri Jagannadh.
He’s like any other common man who is emotional, socially responsible and at the same time calm and composed. He loves his family, particularly his brother Chiranjeevi to the core. His outbursts of anger in the past had a reason which weren’t written or talked about. It’s an emotional outburst which any common man would resort to. Kalyan is a myth and he has clarified time and again that he’s just an actor. During the audio launch of Komaram Puli he stated, “I feel embarrassed when someone calls me Power Star. I don’t believe in records because if not today, they will be broken on some other day.” That’s modesty at its best, yet we continue to be baffled at his persona. If this is not a paradox, then what is?
