Chinmayi Complains of Harassment:
Social Media revolution has got it's share of side effects too. Social Networking Sites have reduced the gap between the celebs and the general public, but ended up creating new problems. Celebrities are finding it difficult to tackle the miscreants on these public platforms.
Noted singer and dubbing artist Chinmayi Sripada is famous for her sweet voice for Samantha. Recently, she has approached the crime cell to lodge complaint against six people who were harassing her on the Social Networking Sites. According to the complaint, few of her followers have been constantly abusing her and it has gone to the level that one among them had commented that she should be raped to be taught a lesson. "There are some limitations to "freedom of speech" even by Law. Derogatory comments on women is illegal," she opined.
Chinmayi made it clear that she isn't the first women to face such harassment, but there are many in the Film Industry who weren't coming out for some reason or other. This celebrated singer dared to fight against the ill-treatment and the cops will take care of the rest.
