Classic Novel Destroyed By 'Adult Film':
Rather taking the sensuality and decadence of culture mentioned in those classic novels, our makers are aiming to cash on the erotic content of those books. One such movie is 'A Woman in Brahmanism', named after popular writer Chalam's novel and a movie version of the same story.
Trailer of the film 'A Woman In Brahmanism' uploaded to YouTube has caused quite a stir among the community of Brahmins with loads of erotic content. Rather focusing on the theme of that novel, the makers tried to film some sleazy bedroom scenes of lead girl and are using them to promote the movie. AP Brahmana Samakya has demanded a ban on the flick and submitted their plea to DGP before protesting infront of his office today.
In the original novel, the story revolves around the exploitation of a young woman 'Sundaramma' in a Brahmin family, the brahmanical authority and the marriage institution followed by a revenge drama. But here in this movie, according to trailer, depicts another B-Grade movie made in Malayalam industry. What an insult to the classic written by Chalam!
