Nani's Shocking Statement On Ilayaraja:
Seniority and experience is something which should be respected a lot in the film industry or else it is considered a major offense. But there are times when few individuals don't realize how they should address such issues. It could be their arrogance, their immaturity or purely their ignorance.
Something like that happened recently during the audio release function of the Tamil film 'Neethane En Ponvasantham'. The Telugu version is 'Eto Vellipoyindhi Manasu'. It is heard that the natural talent Nani who is essaying the role of hero was sharing his thoughts when he reportedly mentioned 'It is really an honor to have Ilayaraja working for my film.'
When Ilayaraja's turn came, he reportedly mentioned 'Nani! It is not me working for your film, but you worked in a film for which I scored music.' Those who were present laughed the whole thing out but there were those who were little taken aback with Nani's statement.
