Only Nagarjuna can bail out Damarukam!
Sudden postponement of Damarukam film didn't come as a surprise to anyone in the film industry. Damarukam was postponed to October 19th. This looked inevitable as the costs of the film haven't been recovered. Damarukam was sold in few areas as per Nagarjuna's market value. In other areas producer decided to release the film all by himself.
This film is made at an estimated budget of Rs. 40 crore and it is nearly double to what a successful Nagarjuna's film can collect. So recovering all the production cost prior to the release is ruled out. Producer has to release it by believing that it would be a smash hit and rewrite history. For that he has to clear all the finances and take a huge risk.
As per the grapevine they are not in a position to take such a huge risk and hence only Nagarjuna can bail this out of trouble. If Nagarjuna takes half of the stakes in Damarukam, then things would get pretty easy for the producer. Will Nagarjuna come forward and take that big risk? Nagarjuna is a smart businessman and he doesn't invest single NP if he is not confident over the project. Is Damarukam impressive enough for Nagarjuna to step in? We will know in few days.
