Real Facts: Pawan Kalyan's CGR Release Issue | Directors Association Demand for Commission in CGR Settlement

Real Facts: Pawan Kalyan's CGR Release Issue

We are aware that Director Puri Jagannath lodged a complaint with Telugu Director's Association regarding the non payment of his remuneration (Rs 4.5 crore) for the film Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu by Producer DVV Danayya. The issue was settled after a closed door discussion between the Director and Producer, and as per the compromise Puri will be getting Rs 3.5 crore as his pay package instead of Rs 4.5 crore.

Now the Director's Association is demanding either Puri or Danayya to pay 10 percent commission for them from the amount Rs 3.5 crore as they have settled the issue, or else threatening to halt the film's reelase on October 18.

As per rule, if anyone lodges a written complaint with Director's Association then they need to pay the settlement fee. In fact, this new rule got the approval from the Association members in the General Body Meeting held on Sunday only. How can this rule be applied to the Puri-Danayya issue, as that settlement was done few days back? It's ridiculous!

Will the Director's Association exclude CGR issue from the new rule or either one among Puri and Danayya comes forward to pay Rs 35 lakh from their pocket to ensure a smooth release on Oct 18? Let's see!
