Telugu Movies Getting Trimmed After Release:
Earlier, when a film hits theatre there is nothing called calling it back and the same reel is used for second release and third release too. But now, our makers are changing the reel on day two itself. What a pity!
We have seen a boring 'Life Is Beautiful' on the first week of its release until many distributors urged Sekhar Kammula to trim the flick. With that fresh cut, almost 15 minutes of movie is gone and viewers are super happy. Same is the case with 'Rebel' that is testing patience of audience with mediocre comedy. After trimming the movie, family audiences are able to watch this flick with patience. So why our talented directors like Sekhar Kammula and Lawrence are are missing this judgement before the release of flick.
Critics say that we cannot call it a poor judgement, but that should be referred as 'director's cut'. Okay, but what is the use when that 'Directors Cut' is doing lot of damage to revenues?
