Lyricist Jonnavithula Comments on Mohan Babu:
From a couple of days, respected lyricist Jonnavithula is taking sides with Brahmins to fight against Mohan Babu regarding the issue of 'Denikaiana Ready'. The lyricist questioned aggressively about many things, which are not making sense for a guy like him.
Jonnavithula stated that Mohan Babu has insulted 'Bharateeyata' by insulting Brahmins in the flick, and stated that without Brahmins there is no India as they are the ones who teach Vedams and Upanishads for innocent people of India. Later he blasted that Mohan Babu is behaving awkwardly without realising the fact that he is a Padma Shree award holder. Jonnavithula felt that a Brahmin woman is shown in a derogatory way in this flick as she runs for every man like for her husband (though in a comic tone).
So, here is a question to Mr Jonnavithula about the 'Bharateeyata' he is talking about. Bharateeyata means an amalgam of 6000+ castes and various religions but not a single community as said by him. Moreover, Brahmanism is a way of life but not a caste. In what way Denikaina Ready is affecting 'Bharateeyata' if one woman behaves that way? Why are we still reeling around castes and creed when the whole world is advancing to eradicate these social evils?
Secondly, we have to recollect what respect Jonnavithula is giving to women, irrespective of their caste and religion. Let us see these lyrics.
'College paapala bus, a seat choosina fresh.... Oh tennis banthula papa, nee banthula kanthati voopa... nuvvu ethi choopey.. ethi choopey...' (Jinthatha song from Vikramarkudu)
What respect he means to women by talking about 'fresh seat'? What are those 'banthulu' he is talking about? Jonnavithula has outraged the modesty of women with his filthy and disgusting lyrics in that song, which he sold for a price to the producers. Is he having any moral right to talk about respecting women now?
Maybe he will defend saying that 'masala' is needed as part of the saying 'Dharmartha Kama Moksham', and taking out the aspect of 'Kaama'. So, why couldn't Jonnavithula see the 'Kaama' angle here?
Maybe the demands of Brahmins are right, but a guy who sells masala for money and insults woman for his food has no right to accuse Mohan Babu in the first place.
