Singer's Affair with Music Director!
Can anyone believe that Legendary Singer Lata Mangeshkar has a love affair with Music Director Bhupen Hazarika who died a year ago? The composer's estranged wife Priyamwada says it's true!
In her recent interview to a TV Channel, Priyamwada said that Lata Mangeshkar had an affair with her husband and she was the reason for their break-up 50 years ago. She even revealed that the singer and her husband used to share one of three bedrooms in Kolkata flat whenever they had been in the city. When Priyamwada asked her husband why he should be in Lata's room the whole night, he told to his Wife: 'Sometimes you have to do it. Look Priyam, in India, if a musician wants to rise, his songs have to be sung by Lata Mangeshkar'.
Even the Music Director mentioned in his autobiography about a 'big artiste' indirectly hinting Lata. He wrote,"My wife Priyamwada was in tears after seeing off the 'big artiste' at Kolkata airport. I asked Priyam what happened, and she said she didn't like something which the woman had said to her (I love Bhupen more than his parents and you do)."
With Priyamwada naming the artiste as Lata now, the love affair got exposed. How would Lata Mangeshkar respond to this is shocking revelation is to be seen!
