Telugu TV Channels Exploiting YouTube?
With the advent of highly technological cheap digital cameras, the spark of making films is ignited in almost every individual who has this special love for films. They are making short films and uploading them on Youtube, on which our channels are looting now. Check this out!
Generally, TV channels which provide only entertainment needs constant supply of content. Else, there will be nothing new for them to show as almost all the 26 channels show the same stuff. Some intelligent minds working in these channels are now using Telugu short films on YouTube to fill their slots. In fact, YouTube pays money if a video gets huge clicks but TV channels give nothing and exploit them, says a trade analyst. Maybe these channels have to pay some amount to the makers of YouTube films, like the way they shed money for satellite rights of films. However, the makers of these films has something else to say.
'At least if these channels show our short films on TV, we may get an opportunity in Industry to direct a film, so there is no problem', says a short film maker, whose films are currently being played on a couple of Telugu channels.
