Tamil Aunties Polluted Telugu For TVs:
In case of saving and promoting language, Tamilians always stood top and it is evident in Kollywood too. From movie names to signboards, there will be only Tamil and that gives them a waiver in tax too. But Tollywood is not realising this it seems.
Apart from the fact that most of our makers are naming Telugu movies with English and Hindi words, this bug has now bitten TV Channels too. For a movie, heroine from any language is found fit because a Telugu girl or a fluent Telugu speaker will lend her voice for that character in dubbing. But when it comes to hosting or anchoring a show, there will be no substitute. Still, our show-producers want old Tamil heroines who speak very itsy-bitsy and shackled Telugu language.
Right now there are veteran heroines Radhika and Kushboo (not a Tamilian, but settled in Lungi Land) hosting a couple of shows on Telugu channels with their terrible and polluted Telugu diction. Family audiences might be thinking why there is such a huge scarcity of Telugu aunties for these shows and why Tamil aunties.
Already we have old-heroines like Roja and Raasi hosting, and we have many more in the kitty that we can rope in as show-hosts. Let's see if our film and TV industry is really concerned about language love or not!
