In-Discussion: 'Best Director' of 2012
Many online magazines and websites have been running polls to find out the pulse of people in deciding the best of Tollywood for the gone year 2012. But the poll conducted by one of them has become completely funny with the result.
Undoubtedly, 'Best Director' is not an award given to commercially successfully directors but the one that truly honours directorial skills. Most of the people had an opinion that Rajamouli is the top director for 2012 and rest are all the same. Though Harish's 'Gabbar Singh' has collected a bit more than 'Eega', Rajamouli's creativity and technical superiority makes him the best. However, the poll states that Harish is 1st, Rajamouli is 2nd and Trivikram is 3rd.
If we think that Harish got 1st rank due to his 'Gabbar Singh' that collected around 69 crores, then Sampath Nandi should stand second as 'Racha' collected 56 crores. If directorial values are honoured in these polls, then people like Rajamouli and Krish for his KVJ should come first but not a 'Gabbar Singh' or 'Julayi' director, says an observer. Looks like, the results of the poll are funny.
