Superstar Rajinikanth has hinted that he would be visiting Japan soon to meet up and talk to his fans in the country. Thanks to successive good-show of his films (dubbed into Japanese language) starring with Muthu to the latest Enthiran: The Robot, Rajini’s films are very popular in Japan and the super star happens to be among the most-famous non-Japanese star in Japan.
It is not just in Japan,Millions of fans of the superstar across the globe would love to meet him, shake their hands with him and get themselves photographed with him at least once in their lives. And many are even ready to travel long distances to realize their dreams.
In the eighties, it was very easy to visit Rajini’s house in Chennai, Rajini would meet his fans on Sundays, pose for a photograph with fans individually and send those photos to their addresses at a latter date. However, it was during the mid-nineties that many restrictions were placed for the fans in reaching up to Rajini’s residence to meet him. Those in power at that time made many ‘security arrangements’ which made it impossible for fans to visit Rajini’s residence.
In order to avoid these difficulties to fans, Rajini decided to avoid meeting his fans and told them not to visit Chennai even on his birthdays and chose to remain away from Chennai on those days. At times, he would meet groups of fans at his Raghavendra Kalyalana Mandapam in Kodambakkam.
A survey says world over, Rajini had twice the number of fans he has in Tamil Nadu. And few Japanese are die-hard fans of Rajini; reports emanating from Japan say that the fans are ever so eager to meet the ‘man of the moment’ in person. For the past month or so, Rajini has been interacting more frequently with his fans. Kiyoka, Rajini’s fan from Japan, said she was thrilled to bits when Rajini welcomed her at his residence and spoke to her for some time.
Kiyoka also revealed that Rajini had promised her that he would soon be visiting Japan to meet and interact with his Japanese fans!
