Brahmanandam starrer Jaffa film has hit the big-screens today and Vennela Kishore the director of the film has also played a comedy role. With Brahmi in the title role, Jaffa is touted to be an out and out comedy entertainer.Jaffa has got U/A certification the film run length is 2 hrs 5 minutes.
Brahmanandam looked different in the posters and trailers as most wanted criminal and it has earned good expectations among the audiences. Ramesh Varma produced the film on Kiran studios PVT.Ltd. banner with musical scores by Anoop Rubens. Other supporting cast includes Ali, Fish Venkat, Sravan.

Story:
A Whacky tale, the story begins with Jaffa (brahmi) a notorious convict who is giving an interview and he recalls about his past and his entering the jail. Originally, he is a software engineer who by chance ends up becoming responsible for the death of his colleague (dhanraj) and lands in jail.
But in no time, with his ideas and intelligence Jaffa becomes famous for the inmates as he helps them in various issues. Even the jailor Nikki (vennela kishore) takes advices. But one incident results in Jaffa planning an escape from the jail. What happens after that forms the rest of the story.
Performances:
As Jaffa Khan, Brahmanandam has given brilliant performance.In few scenes you will feel like Brahmi sliding into overacting mode but he bounces back with trade mark one line punch dialogues. Brahmi has tried to single shoulder the film but falls short to keep audiences stick to their seat for more than two hours. His body language and dialogue delivery are amazing and entertain you a lot.
Ali makes a super entry, but fails to bring smile on your face. Others like Fish Venkat, Sravan, Thagubothu Ramesh, Venu and Raghu Babu will successfully tickle your funny bones.
Vennela Kishore was natural and more spontaneous. His strength lies in his timing and dialogue delivery. Though his role was lacking depth he gave it enough energy to withstand.
Technical Departments:
The director has come up with a very interesting storyline and while the presentation was good, the narrative was inefficient. The dialogues were well written. The script was average and the screenplay was not that appealing.
The background score was excellent and Cinematography was catchy. Editing was required during the second half. Costumes were natural and suited the occasion while the art department was realistic.

Final Analysis:
Jaffa is a full-fledged comedy entertainer, which has some dark and slap stick comedy elements. Brahmanandam's performance is the main highlight in the movie. Vennela Kishore's narration and dialogues, Anoop Rubens' music, Raja's camera work are its other attractions.
The film has been stuck for quite a while and it came out finally. The interesting part is, it has Brahmanandam as a hero. The film takes off in a good way and the first half has some light moments with interesting comedy, the interval bang was neat.
But the entire momentum falls down during the second half. It gets extremely dragging and monotonous during the climax. Overall, this is a film which had the material to become a whacky and hilarious treat but it was not handled properly. At the box office, the film might get good openings but it may not sustain as days proceed.
Final Word: Jaffa will have strong openings, It may not be a commercial failure but a content failure.If you are diehard of Brahmi or a comedy lover, watch it. Otherwise you will become a Jaffa.
