Top Director Gautham Menon complains of harassment:
Tamil producer Elred Kumar has dragged most sought after director Gautham Menon to court over a financial dispute.
As per the petition, Gautham Menon directed four films for Elred Kumar's production house and none of them fared well at the Box Office, ending up incurring a loss to the tune of Rs 20 crore. Now, the producer has been demanding the director to settle this amount and also to fulfill the agreement of directing one more flick under his banner. He even appealed to the court to restrain Gautham Menon from directing any film for other production houses until he stands by the promise.
In an open letter to media, Gautham Menon came out strongly by claiming he has the right to work and earn for himself. 'Please assist me and free me from the harassment of Elred,' pleads the director.
Due to this controversy, top stars weren't ready to sign any projects with Gautham Menon as they too would land in trouble if the court stalls the film shoot.
