Top Telugu Actress Manchu Lakshmi to quit films?
Top Telugu actress-producer Lakshmi Manchu, daughter of versatile artiste Mohan Babu, is reportedly all set to call it quits to film industry very soon. Yes, the lady Manchu, who has carved out a niche for herself, is planning to say bid adieu to Tollywood as she wants to leave to US to spend time with her husband Anand. Boosting the news, the buzz is that Lakshmi has not signed any film yet after 'Gundello Godari'.
Lakshmi herself confessed it. She said, "I never wanted to stay away from my hubby Anand who stays in US. After our marriage, I had planned to do Lakshmi Talk Show for just two months and later wanted to off to US. But it ran well opened to great response followed by films, and that two months turned into two-and-a-half-years. Now, I'd like to go to US and want to live life happily with my husband. That's the reason I haven't signed any film after 'Gundello Godari'."
Though she hasn't openly confirmed that she is quitting films, many say that her latest bold statements on production and film industry are confirming this news. Laksmi openly lamented at film industry by saying, "It is better to bet on horses rather than producing movies." She opined after battling all odds to release her film 'Gundello Godari'. She may not completely quit but a huge gap is expected from her. However, official confirmation is yet to come.
