Actors turning producers is not a new phenomenon in Tamil cinema.
Vishal, the dark horse of K'town, is the latest to join this fad. Although he has a home banner, GK Film Corporation, which is managed by elder brother Vikram Krishna, Vishal has launched one for himself, called Vishal Film Factory . To start with, he has teamed up with director Suseendhran for this yet-to-be-titled film.
Vishal, who is shooting in Tiruchy for Pattathu Yaanai, says, “The idea of making films has been on my mind for quite some time. VFF will produce not only my films but also those of other actors. This film has a Madurai backdrop and it is a revenge thriller set in a village. That's all I can divulge now“ he says.
While Madhi is the cinematographer, Imman, who is on a high after Kumki's success, is composing the music. Susee, who is particular that his female lead should be a good performer and not glam doll alone, is on a heroine hunt.
