Talented director Kodi Ramakrishna is heard of making a movie on the life-story of deceased God man, Puttaparthi Sai Baba. Right now, fingers are pointed towards him for his selection of actor regarding this role.
Buzz is doing rounds in film circles that Malayalam actor, the talented Mohanlal is acting as 'Puttaparthi Saibaba' in an upcoming movie. However, Telugu cine lovers are not quite convinced with the fact that this Malayalam actor doing the role. Even critics are questioning how come a director like Kodi Ramakrishna cannot find a Telugu actor to cast in the shoes of a Telugu saint. Insiders are saying that Kodi don't want to face any criticism from other heroes by finalizing another veteran hero from Tollywood.
And, Mohanlal in the role means a trilingual release for this high budgeted movie, as he has a face value in Tamil and Malayalam too. If at all some Telugu hero needs to be picked, who can excel in the role of 'baba' is also another big question. Names like Nagarjuna, Jagapathi Babu and Venkatesh are considered, but no one is sure how far they fit into the bill.
