'Standard' Actors Boring Cinema Lovers
Same accent. Same acting style. Same mannerisms. From late 90s to till date, Tollywood is not seeing change in some of its top level performers. It is just boring.
Actors like Prakash Raj, Srihari and Saikumar are undoubtedly the talented versatile actors of Telugu industry. However, these three 'standard' biggies are depending on same kind of mannerism all the time. Prakash's voice dragging, Saikumar's head shaking and bulging eyes, Srihari's Telangana accent dialogues are not exciting audience all the time. It is time for our costly character artists to rethink about the entertainment they are giving to audience.
Another top artist responded on this issue saying that it is the job of directors to extract versatility from these performers. 'As directors cannot impart specialization to character, people like PR or Srihari are doing their natural best', he adds. Time to change strategies from either sides.
