NTR throws a Challenge, any takers?
We all know that one of the best seasons for Telugu movies is Sankranti (Pongal). Movies that release for Pongal usually does well and we will witness at least one blockbuster during this season. That is the reason why the filmmakers and heroes try to get their films ready by Pongal to make the most of the festive period. It is already July and the films that are currently under production are eyeing Sankranti release.
NTR's Baadshah is all set to release for 2013 Pongal. Producer Bandla Ganesh announced the same. This film's regular shoot started in Italy recently and Srinu Vailta, the director is not known for taking so much time to wrap up his films. Vaitla can easily make a film in six months of time and having immense confidence in him, Ganesh announced the release date.
So the race for Pongal has begun and we have NTR in it. Now it would be interesting to see if other actors try to join the race and take up the challenge. Although Sankranti is a superb season, releasing more than two films at a time doesn't give scope to have a huge release. The business model of Telugu films has been changed now and everyone is going for big release to cash in on the initial euphoria. So if NTR's film gets ready for Pongal without fail, other films will have to move aside.
