Nagarjuna: 'Gundamma Katha 2012' Is Just A Rumour


One of the most talked about remakes in the tinsel town when it comes to touching a golden era film is none other than 'Gundamma Katha'. Right now many stories are doing rounds in Film Nagar about this movie, but there comes a word from horse mouth that they are just false. 

For some time, rumor mils churned the idea of remaking that yesteryear film with Nagarjuna and Balakrishna in the shoes of veteran legends ANR and NTR. The idea is completely ruled out when producer Ramanaidu stated that he is keen to remake 'Gundamma Katha' with Junior NTR and Naga Chaitanya in the lead. Even Jr.NTR showed immense interest in this movie which never showed any signs of materialization. With Balakrishna's son Mokshagna and Nag's younger son Akhil making frequent public appearances, once again buzz has it that these two will star in 'GK 2012'. 

Condemning all these titbits, King Nagarjuna said that there is no scope for any of this generation actors, including him, to remake that flick. 'I think, me or Balakrishna are not at all enough to reprise ANR and NTR's performance, and even our siblings. All these things you're hearing are just false, and there is no such idea of remaking that film for now', stressed Nag when media inquired. He stated this while visiting a theatre in Vizag to celebrate 'Shirdisai' success. 

So, there is no chance of a multi starrer from Nandamuri-Akkineni families as expected by many fans.
