Anushka in Flop Director's Trap!
A strong buzz is making rounds in the past few days that Anushka will be playing the lead in Gunasekhar's magnum opus Rudrama Devi. Of course, the success sentiment of Anushka is working in her favor. This long legged lass is the first choice of the director for the role of the queen of Kakatiya Dynasty. "Yes, we are in talks with a top league actress," says Gunasekhar, confirming the reports.
Touted to be a Rs 40 crore project, Rudrama Devi will be the first historical film to be shot in 3D stereophonic. The technical team of the film include big names like Maestro Ilayaraja, VFX supervisor Kamal Kannan, Art Director Thota Tharani and ace costume designer Neeta Lulla.
Off late, Gunasekhar is going through a rough phase with consecutive duds like Sainikudu, Varudu and Nippu under his belt. But, he still succeeded in roping in the best team for his film and this might be the main reason any top heroine would love to play the lead in this woman oriented film.
