Arjun Kapoor in Okkadu Bollywood Remake!
Arjun Kapoor, the step-son of yesteryear actress Sridevi, is all set to star in the Hindi remake of Mahesh Babu's blockbuster Okkadu which was released way back in 2003.
Producer Boney Kapoor will be producing this action entertainer with his Son in the lead. As Arjun is currently busy with his prior commitments (films like Gundey, Aurangazeb and 2 States are on floors), the shoot of the remake will begin only in mid 2013. "Okkadu remake is on the way and the shooting starts from June 2013. Arjun plays the lead, female lead and the director are yet to be confirmed," says Boney.
Okkadu is one of biggest grossers of Tollywood among the films released until then. Mahesh's intense and Prakash Raj's riveting performance stands out in the film.
Arjun is the son of Boney Kapoor and his first wife Mona Kapoor who breathed her last recently due to cancer. His debut film 'Ishaqzaade' has been a profit grosser at the box office. The Bollywood remake is an attempt to establish this young hero as a mass hero. Hope the plan works!
