Manchu Lakshmi Celebrates 36th Birthday Today:
Lakshmi Prasanna Manchu is an Indian film actress, producer and a television host born on 8 October 1976. She is the only daughter of actor Mohan Babu and his first wife late Vidya Devi. She graduated with a Bachelors in Theater Oklahoma City University. She has acted in the American Television series Las Vegas and Desperate Housewives. She has also appeared in commercials for Toyota, AARP and Chevrolet. She married to Andy Srinivasan who is based out of America.
Lakshmi Manchu is happier than ever that her brother Manoj Manchu had put in to ring in her birthday.At present she is prominent celeb in twin cities missed her husband Andy and good friend Yuvraj Singh a lot.With more than 300-odd guests from Mumbai, Chennai and Delhi, the party Manoj hosted for her at Gandarva Mahal palace. Although, her actual birthday is today. The celebrations began on the 6th with a two-day carnival. DJ Ajay who played at the party revealed that, “The song from Aiyyaa, Dreamum Wakeupum was repeatedly requested and the crowds went crazy.”
Lakshmi speaking exclusively to DC, said, “I just adore this rocking number and it was played many times along other chartbusters from 9pm to 4am the next day.”Not one to reveal too much, she says, “It’s a private party, so excuse me for not listing names but I assure you that it was mostly A-listers,” she adds. She also appreciated the menu which her brother had planned. “There was steamed dosa, kheema dosa and kababs.
The actress is eager to seek blessings from her father Mohan Babu at this residence. “I always seek his blessing and have lunch with pulihora with my parents.”But she is sad that her husband couldn’t be there. “I was supposed to be with my husband Andy for this birthday but I couldn’t and even Yuvraj was all ready but stayed back to attend another common friend’s party. I am happy because my siblings and friends are making the celebrations memorable,” she concludes.
Her Career:
Lakshmi became known through her role in the American television series Las Vegas, where she played the role of Sarasvati Kumar, the love interest of James Lesure. The show gave her the chance to work with many stars, such as James Caan, Sylvestor Stallone, just to name a few. She has appeared in national commercial campaigns for AARP, Chevrolet, and Toyota. In 2006, she acted, directed, and produced Perfect Lives, a short film that was accepted and screened at the Wilshire Fine Arts Theater as part of the La Femme Film Festival in Los Angeles.
