Dil Raju's Brilliant Move: Nayak & SVSC!
Dil Raju has acquired the Nizam theatrical rights of Ram Charan's Naayak for over Rs 11 crores which is said to all time highest for any film in this region. Although Allu Aravind was in race to bag 50 percent share in Nizam rights, Dil Raju succeeded in finalizing the deal to distribute the film in entire Telangana on his own.
As Naayak is the first film to arrive in the Sankranthi season, it is going to have an initial advantage. According to the trade, this commercial potboiler is expected to collect an excess of Rs 20 crores it in first two days run at the Box Office.
In fact, Dil Raju is also the producer of 'Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu' which is scheduled for Sankranthi release (Jan 11) and he will be distributing it in Nizam as well. Analysts say, this is strategic move by the producer to avoid the problem of theatres unavailability when two big ticket films hit the screens at the same time. Being the solo distributor for both these flicks, he could adjust the screens as per the demand from the film buffs.
As far as economics is concerned, Dil Raju is in a safe zone despite acquring the rights of Naayak for a whooping price and SVSC's over-budget as both Charan and Mahesh are bankable stars with massive following in the region.
