The 3D adventure is a smash success across India and abroad!
The wait for movie lovers had come to a fantastic close as Ang Lee’s LIFE OF PI released on 23rd November in 2D and 3D in English, Hindi, Tamil & Telugu across theaters in India.
The highly anticipated 3D celebration of cinema, life and a rarely seen stunning showcase of India and Indian talent, opened to rave reviews not just by critics but audiences as well reaffirming the massive appeal of LIFE OF PI as it has bagged an astounding Rs 32 crore (Gross, Rs 22.4 crores Net) in the first week itself.
LIFE OF PI has gathered the 4th biggest opening weekend of the year, and the 6th highest of all time. Along with being the 2nd highest opening of all time for Fox Star Studios after AVATAR. The 3D adventure has also achieved the highest opening for a non-franchise film say the statistics.
What’s more, not just the fans and critics but notable names have publicly spoken about the fantastic experience of watching the film, adding to the unprecedented success of the 3D saga.
Right from 3D genius James Cameron, to Bollywood’s biggies such as Shahrukh Khan, Karan Johar, A. R. Rahman and more, illustrious names have been praising the film continuously during and after its release.
