Mirchi Censor Report: 'A' Certificate For Ramayana?
Censor Board is going tough these days on bloodshed and glamor shows, and already passed an insensible order of giving 'A' certificate to items. While questioning this, some have come up with creative thoughts and here they go.
A popular writer shared his thoughts of giving 'A' Certificates to Telugu movies like 'Mirchi'. This film was stamped 'A' because it has excessive killing of villains. The writer apparently asked that when we are teaching Ramayana to our kids, a tale where Rama kills many 'Rakshasas', what is the point in giving 'A' certificate to a film that shows same thing. Did he means that Ramayana is also an 'A' certificate story?
Well, the writer's question might sound intelligent but that highlights his lack of in-depth understanding of what Ramayana is. That epic story teaches way of life, living up to a promise and waging war against evil for good. Do our films that got 'A' certificate teach the same stuff?
