Currently, Bollywood is passing through a period when every second superstar is working in a masala entertainer, and those who aren’t are negotiating the possibilities of adding one of them in their resume.
However, such films are normally centered on its larger than life male character played by a certain superstar and haven’t much to offer to its leading ladies except few scenes and couple of dance numbers.
Interestingly, actress Prachi Desai who last year did a similar film – ‘Bol Bachchan’, says she doesn’t think it’s that bad too. In fact, she insists that working in such masala entertainers have its own perks.
In her recent media interaction, Prachi said, “It is quite a relief to do such films. It is all hassle-free. You just go there, relax, sit, enjoy, say a few lines, do dance numbers and look good. It is a fabulous thing to do.”
But at the same time, Prachi adds that she wouldn’t keep doing particular types of films and would love to do films that give her creative satisfaction.
“I am an actor so I am not satisfied doing only one kind of films, so I try to balance it out whether the film or the role is big or small I am okay with it. If the role would not be important, I will not do it,” she told.
Meanwhile, Prachi is right now working in the third film of Vikram Bhatt’s famous ‘1920’ franchise. She is also doing films like ‘Policegiri’ and ‘Rock On!! 2’.
