Comedian Sutti Velu Passed Away!!
One of the top telugu comedian ‘Sutti Velu’ passed away early this morning here of cardiac arrest. He was 63 and is survived by three daughters and a son. His original name . K Lakshminarasimha Rao.The comedian, who had regaled audiences in about 250 films many pairing with late actor ‘Sutti’ Veerabhadra Rao, was staying here with one of his daughters after coming down from Hyderabad for medical treatment recently, his daughter said. At about 0330 hrs in the morning, Velu complained of severe chest pain and breathed his last before he could be given any medical aid. He was undergoing treatment at the Vijaya Hospitals here for an undisclosed ailment. The comedian was introduced to films by late filmmaker Jandhyala in 1980 in the fim ‘Mudda Mandaram’ and before pairing with Veerabhadra Rao in another of Jandhyala’s successful film ‘Naalugu Sthambala Aata.’ Film producers and the actor’s other well wishers in the Telugu film industry here paid their tributes to the actor, who had added to the rich crop of talented comedians in Telugu cinema .
MAA President Muralimohan expressed his deep greif and said that ,”I learned of the unfortunate and untimely death of Sutti Velu . There are no words to describe the utter grief that I am feeling right now.Please accept my sincerest condolences to the family of the great comedian, may his soul Rest in Peace”.
