In a study published in Journal of Addiction Medicine, researchers shared that a newly found genetic variant is responsible for women getting addicted to internet and stuff like Facebook. They disclosed that this genetic variation is associated to addiction to smoking, loneliness and depression also. After interviewing about 800 people and their internet habits, they have found that women are the most addicted.
More than caring about boyfriends, women tend to worry about using social networking due to a mutation of a receptor in the brain. Well this problematic internet addiction behaviour seems to have some therapy to control and they are finding solution for that too.
