Chiranjeevi: Hyderabad is 3rd Best in the World
Union Minister Chiranjeevi who was in UK recently to attend the World Travel Market - 2012 asserted that Hyderabad is the thirst-most popular tourist destination in the world only next to San Francisco and Amsterdam. "I came to know about the city holding the 3rd spot in that meet. The selection has been made based on the parameters including tourist spots, infrastructure, culture, development and heritage," he revealed.
Chiru opined several areas in Visakhapatnam and East Godavari have the potential to become tourist spots if the supported with necessary infrastructure. "Plans were on to develop new tourist spots across the country and by doing so employment will be created for laos of people," he stressed.
On the other hand, Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy stated AP ranks No 1 when it comes to overall tourist visitors to a state in the country. He, however, admitted the fact most of the tourists visiting AP are pilgrims to seek the blessings of the deities. He stressed the need to develop new tourist destinations in places like Visakhapatnam and other areas.
