Story:
Subhramanyam ( Kota Srinivas Rao) is a Thespian on Stage in the backdrop of our Telugu Pride Surabhi Naataka Company , His Grandson Rana Daggubati as BTech Babu who also plays stage shows at times but his heart is not into it as his aim and ambition is to go to US to pursue his dream and Career. Upon his Grandpa’s request he agrees to perform one last time , He Visits Bellary for a Theater Festival and get entangled with the circumstances and the harsh realities and the quality of life the citizens are experiencing there ruled by the Mining Mafia and how he gets out of it and saves the poor and downtrodden people from the Mafia makes the rest of the Story.
Krish has a sense of social responsibility , his feelings in his heart come out in the form of films , This is his way of showcasing his concern for the society. His taste in dialogues intrigues you and your thoughts and provokes them, In a times while every one is concentrating on one liner’s punch dialogues, it was quite refreshing for ears to hear such dialogues, If you can pickup the dialogues you will thoroughly enjoy them.
Kudos to Krish for Extracting Acting Juice’s from Actors, he did the same with Naresh and Shravanand in Gamyam, with Manchu Manoj and Allu Arjun in Vedam and again here with Rana. Krish definitely is a Tough Task master similar to Jakanna SS Rajamouli . His movie making showcases his strength and indepth knowledge in each and every aspect of the Film Making.
Performance:
Rana Daggubati has evolved as an actor as BTech Babu and is the perfect choice for this kind of movie. He is good in Serious and Emotional performances which had little scope to try and showcase in his previous movies. His Diction and Dialogue delivery is amazing and you will find a new Rana , though some will disagree as some of the Dialogues were spoken fast and some audience are not able to grasp them. Rana tried to pur his heart and Soul in his character and he succeeds in his attempt. Rana has carved his physique very well and he is very good in action sequences and explodes on the screen with his Bulging Muscles, but quite stiff in Dances. One one side while i was very impressed with Rana on another side was a little disappointed as well as Rana still has some inhibition in him and he looks tied and does not free himself from it and appears stiff.
Venkatesh looks Fresh and hilarious in his Special Role and adds that extra pinch of spice to the movie in a Song Sequence with Sameera Reddy and increases the tempo of the movie and gives a kick to the Daggubati Fans.
Nayanatara is as usual with her decent performance and she looks glamorous in songs and dances , Though it was a bit odd to see her as a commecrial actress in KVJ after she donned the role of Sita in Sri Rama Rajyam. There is ample scope for Nayan to Perform and she does justice.
LB Sriram has a very important role to play as a villager and he steals the show with his emotional performance. Posani Krishna Murali is at his his usual best, nothing new for him in here but he justified his role. Brahmanandam and Raghu Babu are also good in their performances and bring in some comical relief.
Technical Aspects:
On the technical front, Mani Sharma's music is the main highlight. His background score elevates the intensity of several scenes. His tunes are also good to listen. Gnanasekhar's picturisation, Dialogues are outstanding like I said before and Editing is neat., amazing fights, JK Murthy's art direction, Tirumala's costumes and Chittor Srinivas' make-up are all commendable and they help Krish to project his ideas properly.
Mani Sharma gives a brilliant score and rerecording , all the songs are humming and his back ground music adds meaning and value to the visualization. SP Balasubhramanyam sung a special song “Jarugutunnadi Jagannaatakam” which has a lot of meaning in it and goes deep in your heart and gives a gist of the movie theme plot. All the songs have great historical and human values and meaning to them.
Plus Points:
Venkatesh makes a very entertaining cameo appearance in the ‘Sayyandri Nanu’ song.
Rana Daggubati given out standing performance. His body language is completely fit to the script!
Nayanatara looks good in the movie Milind Gunaji is acted his level the best as Don Reddappa.
L.B.Sriram takes the cake with a terrific performance as the tribal Matti Raju. Brahmanandam and Raghu Babu are good.
The movie’s interval bang and climax episodes stand out Mani Sharma's music is the main highlight. The film is excellent in the 2nd half. Krish was succeed in narrating such film with rana interestingly. Dialogues are outstanding and they have deep philosophical impact. Action sequences are choreographed very well in the film.
Minus Points:
A few drama sequences in the first half slow down the pace of the film. Secondly, a couple of songs like ‘Spicy Spicy girl' and ‘Chal Chal Chal', which do not add to the story, seem to be forced into the film. In Climax Villains Action Scene
Final Word:
Krish's Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum is a Brilliant entertainer with the right blend of Human hardships, Struggle and Triumph of Human Values.Good entertainer and thought provoking movie. Rana will definitely rock you. Don't miss it this weekend.
