Anand Abhyankar appeared in the film Vaastav: The Reality and featured as Bhau Kaka in the television serial Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah Marathi actor Anand Abhyankar died in a road accident on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway on December 23. Mr Abhyankar was accompanied by fellow actor Akshay Pendse (33) and his two-year-old son Pratyush, who were also killed in the mishap.
According to reports, the accident took place at around 11.30 pm when the driver of a speeding tempo enroute to Pune lost control of the vehicle and jumped the divider, ramming into the actor's car which was on the way to Mumbai. The tempo driver is absconding.
Anand Abhyankar appeared in the film Vaastav: The Reality and featured as Bhau Kaka in the television serial Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. Mr Abhyankar and Mr Pendse played the lead roles in Marathi serial Mala Sasu Havi.
