After making her Bollywood debut opposite Aamir Khan in Bollywood’s first Rs.100 crore film ‘Ghajini’, South Indian actress Asin Thottumkal has worked in five more Hindi films and three of them have made it to the much coveted Rs.100 crore club.
Beside Kareena Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha, Asin is right now the only actress to have four films in the club. However, the talented actress insists that she isn’t satisfied with the work she has been doing as she is much more capable than that.
She says,” I feel there is a lot more to me that has so far not been seen in Bollywood and I find it funny when they say that you are the lucky mascot and part of the 100-crore club, though that does not define me.”
Although Asin has no regret of being part of those big films, she now wants to showcase her acting skills to the audience.
“Now that I have the numbers, I want to take up roles where I get to act,” she admits.
About her future plans, Asin says she wants to do great roles and wants to lead a complete life by doing everything that she wants to do.
“I need to be satisfied as an actress. I don’t want to compete, I want to be complete. Just like a normal young girl, I want to travel, have a life, do roles that matter and act with actors of my generation. I want to do things that will make me happy,” she concludes.
Asin’s last Bollywood film was Akshay Kumar’s ‘Khiladi 786’. The film featured her in a role of a marathi girl Indu Tendulkar.
