Expectations are riding high on Lal Jose's Mammootty-starrer, Immanuel, which also stars actor Fahadh Faasil in an important role. Buzz was that Fahadh will portray a negative character once again after his stellar performance in 22 Female Kottayam.

However, contrary to reports, a source informs us that Fahadh is not essaying a negative role. "Fahadh is not acting as a villain. He plays a company executive in Immanuel," says the source.

Reenu Mathew, Aparna Nair, Salim Kumar, P Balachandran and Nedumudi Venu also have prominent roles in the film. Mammootty who plays the title role, is a middle-class man, who is working at a publishing house. The shoot of the film is currently progressing in Kochi and is set for an April release.
